Architecture Overview

ProtonIT SolidConfig architecture is consisting of subsystems providing functionality of individual tasks of the system.

Controlling Service

Main controlling service is in charge of executing the high level workflows. This service is in charge of ordering configuration execution on workstations and passing on the workflow execution to integration services.

Network of Workstations

All the CAD and other workstation level of operations are executed in individual workstations available in network. There can be any number of available workstations in the network at any given time (including the possibility to scale up at off-hours when floating licenses become available from daytime designers).

The workstations can also be virtualized; to be executed in high-end controlled virtual machine environment, that provides unparallel scalability and flexibility.

Web Front End

Web front end serves the input interface and outcome for the browser interface / Internet users.

Integration Services

Integration services provides the support functionality to include the workflow execution from/to other Enterprise systems, such as ERP, Production Management/Planning, CRM/Sales support systems etc.
